I recently found out that Bergman and Fellini wanted to make a film together. As far as I know it never came to be, but I think the thought alone is enough to make you dream. Here's a clip from a interview where Fellini gives a few clues as to what it will be about. Bergman just sits next to him and smiles. Might be a good time to learn Italian since there are no subtitles.

I love how people in the 60's had existential problems, it generated a lot of arthouse films. Here's a short clip from Jean-Luc Godard's Alphaville. Probably the best bit, so you don't have to watch the whole thing.
